Ranks for all packs
>> The ranks of the packs are very important. They are what makes a pack, a pack. Sometimes the pack life isn't suitable for some hybrids, but for others they work better when they are amongst others like themselves. While there are others who choose to go by their own rules and live alone, which is fine if you can handle it. Some wolves can't take the pressure of being in a pack, or simply just don't like the fact of answering to a higher power. Ranks-From Highest; [M]=Male [F]=Female =Both Sexes [*-#]=The number within the pack 'U,' meaning unlimited.
- Alpha [M-1]
-- The alpha is the strongest, and more dominant of his pack mates. Although in some cases he might not be bigger than some of his other members. The alpha is the boss. His word generally means law. Most of his pack look up to him to lead them through tough times and to show them what they need to know to live a healthy life as a hybrid on Kayko island.
- Alphess [F-1]
-- The alphess is the mate of the alpha. The alpha usually chooses his mate, but in some cases the alphess, if in power before the alpha, may choose her mate whom will then become her alpha. The alphess is to never be messed with. She is the mother of the pack whom usually produces the most offspring of her designated pack, depending on the pack. It is considered treason to consult the alphess without her mate around, or if not being spoken to. She is generally a strong and bejeweled female, which is why she would be chosen to take on her role.
- Beta [B-1]
-- The beta is the second in command. The one who is in charge if the Alpha pair is out. The beta can be of any type of hybrid. They are generally the most trusted by the alpha and would take over in the place of the Alpha, or Alphess if anything were to happen to both pair. Most of the time if an Alphess dies and the beta is female she is usually chosen to be the mate of the alpha and the packs new Alphess. The Beta is usually the adviser of the Alpha pair and keep their eyes open for any signs of betrayal, or secrets within the pack that the monarchy should know about.
- Elders [B-U]
-- The Elders are the oldest of the pack. They are usually looked to for advise, or just a good story. The Elders are looked after by the young while they are in training to become one of the three: Guardian, Hunter, or Healer.
- Guardians [B-U]
-- The Guardians are the strongest of the pack. They usually are the ones who look after the alpha pair, or the young. They are the strongest of the pack and are always on alert of danger. The guardians and never sent in to hunt unless it is of pure choice, or if there are hard times. Although they aren't very well at hunting they aren't useless at it it just wasn't the role that the alpha assigned them at the end of their youth years.
- Hunters [B-U]
-- The hunters, or gatherers are sent out to find food for the pack. They aren't usually strong and well at fighting like the guardians, but they're fast and silent when they move through the forest when on a hunt. They are well depended on by most of the pack and in some peoples eyes they are the most important.
- Healer [B-1]
-- They're is only one healer in each pack unless one of the youth are extremely well at healing and doesn't qualify withing the other ranks. The healer looks out for the pack when sickness strikes, or when a war breaks out. The healers tend to have a healing ability. Most are born, but some can be made if it is absolutely necessary, or if the pack is desperate.
- Young [B-U]
-- The young are the newest hybrids. Whether are born into the pack, or are newly accepted they are most likely just coming into their power and are needing guidance so that they can make the next step in to whichever position the Alpha deems them worthy. The young are usually between the ages of 8 through 14 and are sent out into the world as a fully trained member when they turn 15. Once 15 the alpha picks their position and the young will join their rank without question.
- Omega [B-U]
-- The omega's aren't weak. They are just looked down on mostly because of a crime that they might have committed. Most omega's are hybrids that have slipped up with the Alpha, or Alphess and have shown defiance to the hierarchy. Most hybrid leave after being declared an omega unless you depend on the safety of your pack.
