Don't get me wrong, the skin is beautiful but some people just like something simpler or something different entirely. There doesn't appear to be that option on our profile modification -- if I recall, it must have been a code I threw in on my own site that made that available. I could go dig around and get it if anyone in management is interested. And if no one wants to take the time to make extra skins, I can get all the info from some of the better ones from my dead old site.

The option is only available if there is at least on other skin to choose from, so another would be needed to give us the option to choose. It's not quite a complex coding thing.

Creating a new skin is simple... a lot of proboards codes would adapt their sidebars/ etc to the skin that said person chose. it would only be a problem if the things like the chatbox are designed specifically for the skin...

Also, the background image (the one with the person and wolf at the top) would have to remain the same for all skins. That's the main reason sites like this don't offer more than one skin choice. It's due to issues with coding.

There are ways to separate coding for each skin, so you can have separate headers/footers for each. I'm not saying that they're not time consuming to make work properly, but they do exist.

Hmm, I've never found any codes that can do that. When Ever sees this, maybe she can look into the matter. I wouldn't mind making a new skin for PE. c:

I have been thinking of a new skin, but like Makuyi said making a skin to fit this format can take months to do. This skin itself took me quite a while to complete. I have been currently thinking up some new color schemes and possibly different formats, but I just haven't had the time since school is coming to a closing and the summer is nearing. I work at a marina on the lake so the summer makes us really busy, but I have been trying to throw in some time to do both, run the site and get creative enough for another skin. I am open to suggestions in this matter. |

@nix - If we did decide to have someone help, we would need to see examples of their work first.
@ever - If you have a color scheme in mind and a layout that's relatively simple, I can always try my hand at making it. I have some time right now since it's nearing the end of the year for me, and even though I'll have IB homework to do over the summer, it won't take me forever to do it.

Well anything other than white and blue.

&Apololiar- if it is possible to have separate headers/footers for different forms of skins that I ham definitely willing to help come up with a new skin, but it's the time of year now when I have finals, and my ACT at the beginning of June.

So you can see them all, maybe we could create a guest account on the other site which you could log on to and change the skin you're using so you could see them... Or I could post a few screenshots?
