`Painted Expressions Rules.

b a s i c . r u l e s

I. -- RESPECT; Painted Expressions will not tolerate disrespect of any kind. You are expected to treat all roleplayers and members the same regardless of literacy level, race, age, opinions, etc. If you do not show respect, you will be asked to leave. ... And if you can't play nice, and leave the boss-i-ness up to the Staff, please don't join. It's not worth the drama.

II. -- ALL CHARACTERS ON ONE ACCOUNT; This just makes it easier for you to reply to threads and it helps. You don't have to log out and log into another account just to post. JUST PLEASE PUT ALL OF YOUR CHARACTER NAMES IN YOUR SIGNATURE OR USER NOTES.

III. -- ACTIVITY; do NOT apply for an Alpha or Beta position if you can not be active enough for it. You are offering to step up to encourage roleplay and interaction between all of your members. This is a big role, and much is expected of it. We are all for people assuming ranks, but if you're not going to be able to reply to threads on a daily basis, or at least every other day or two, just remember that there are many characters under your one character. If you're leaving for a bit, please let us know in the absences board. Painted Expressions reserves the right to hold random Activity Checks.

IV. -- ADOPTION IS WELCOMED; How that works is between you and the adopter.

V. -- WORD COUNT; 200 words per post at the least. It's not a large expectation, just please try and hit it.

VI. -- NO SPAMMING; No double posting, no spamming. It's obvious where double posting is acceptable, such as in logs or trackers.

VII. -- SIGNATURES CAN NOT BE LARGER THAN 500x300; Avatars should be their regular 100 x 100 size or 125 x 230.

VIII. -- 13 OR OLDER; Painted Expressions is a rated pg-13 site, and it is against the proboards terms of service.

XI. -- STAFF; are here for your assistance and entertainment. Do not be afraid of us, we're very friendly. (:

X. -- WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REMOVE YOU; While we are patient and fair, we will not hesitate to remove those unable to abide by our rules.

I. -- NO; Godmoding or Powerplaying.

II. -- WORD COUNT; is still 200, as stated before.

III. -- WHEN SPEAKING; in character, please make sure to place your character's words in "quotations" or bold / italicize / color them. If your character is thinking, please do the same, but use a different method or 'quotations'. Try not to use the same method; it can get confusing.

IV. -- REALISTIC; means please don't come up with something that would relate to the theme of our forum.

V. -- THREADS; are to be marked OPEN or CLOSED, or whom they are open to. Help us help you.

VI. -- REALISTIC NAMES; please try and keep consistent names with the members in the forum, we're pretty flexible, but there are certain things we will politely decline on.

VII. -- Liquid timing is allowed. For those of you who don't know liquid timing means you may post in more than one thread with and individual character as long as you can handle it..

VIII. -- RANKS MAY BE DECLINED; if the Alpha of the pack/flock/clan you are applying for does not feel that your character is a good fit for your rank, they have the right to say such on your application.

XI. -- BEFORE APPLYING; carefully read over the pack/clan/flock information thread and rankings thread of what you're looking for.

X. -- ACTIVITY; please try and remain active for the sake of your partner. If you have to exit the thread or wont be on for a while, be polite! Exit the thread so that your partner is not waiting for you to return. After a week of no response, the staff is allowed to request the thread to be locked and moved to the archives so the other character can resume roleplaying. At any point, regardless of time, the staff can lock a thread if one of the roleplayers feels that the thread is inactive- You are always welcome to exit the thread to close it yourself!
